These warranty conditions apply to products bearing the Humus by PMT trademark produced by PMT OÜ.

  • The manufacturer gives a 12-month guarantee. The warranty period starts on the day the product is taken into the buyer’s possession (date of delivery for transport).
  • The manufacturer’s obligations under the warranty expire at the end of the warranty period.
  • In the event of a guarantee claim, the buyer is obliged to notify the manufacturer within 5 days of discovering the defect. A photograph of the defective part must be taken and a report must be drawn up, indicating the make of the product, the serial number and a brief description of the defect. The buyer shall send the report in writing or by e-mail to the manufacturer. The manufacturer shall then carry out an expert examination to assess the cause of the defect within 30 days at the latest. If the manufacturer’s expert’s report confirms that the defect is due to a manufacturing or design fault, he undertakes to replace the defective part as soon as possible, but not later than 30 days after the expert’s report has been confirmed.
  • Warranty repairs are carried out at the Manufacturer’s address (Tööstuse tn 7, Paide, Estonia). The transport costs of the Product to and from the warranty repair shall be borne by the Buyer. The costs of repairs outside the terms of the warranty and the transport costs shall be borne by the Buyer.
  • The manufacturer has the right to authorise the buyer to replace defective parts independently.
  • The purchaser has the right to disagree with the manufacturer’s expert opinion by informing the manufacturer in writing.
  • Natural wear and tear of the product is not covered by the warranty. The warranty will also be terminated prematurely if the product has not been maintained and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and if the restrictions set out in the instructions for use have not been complied with.
  • The producer shall not be liable for any obligations entered into by the purchaser towards third parties.
  • The guarantee expires before the expiry of the contractual period if the product is used for purposes other than those for which it is intended, or if the purchaser has added to or modified the product without the agreement of the manufacturer.
  • The part of the product replaced during the warranty period will remain under warranty until the end of the general warranty period.

Defects not covered by the guarantee include:

  • caused by the normal wear and tear of the Product or its spare parts;
  • caused by incorrect installation or connection of the product;
  • due to the specific nature of the material being transported or loaded;
  • arising out of the use of the Product in a manner inconsistent with its technical specifications, safety requirements, security rules and intended use;
  • arising out of any breach of the conditions and/or obligations set out in the instructions for use of the Product (such as safety requirements and the obligation to maintain the Product) or the use of solutions and parts (including spare parts) not previously accepted by the Manufacturer;
  • caused by mechanical damage, burglary, negligence, unforeseeable circumstances, including accident (such as fire, traffic accident, etc.);
  • of which the Buyer has not notified the Contractor in writing in a form capable of being reproduced within 5 (five) days of its occurrence and/or the Buyer has not given the Contractor the opportunity to determine the cause of the defect;
  • the amount of the loss or damage, the increase of which the Buyer could reasonably have prevented..
